Howl

This poem constantly paints a new picture in every other sentence. Although all these visual images have the same underlying theme of the slow but inevitable destruction of society as we know it. It seems as if it is a long rant that someone was able to capture. For instance, the entire poem seems as if someone is shouting at you or you should be yelling it out. The language completely changes for a few moments which just seems to end up being a random collection of words with a direction but no proper sentence structure at all. "yacketayakking screaming vomiting whispering facts and memories and anecdotes and eyeball kicks and shocks of hospitals and jails and wars" This poem covers a lot of what can cause society to collapse, but doesn't give solutions.
