Mother's Song

I believe this musical piece follows the relationship of a mother and child. When her child is born, these are the mother's blissful years. When the baby is growing up, although is way be hard at times, these are the best years of a mother's life with the child. The beginning of piece captures this tone, it comes across as flying or soaring through the sky.
Then the child hits puberty and starts to want to be free from the mother, which brings the darker, more somber tones in the song. The child moves away and starts their own life for itself. These are the years when the relationship between the mother and child is strained.
The child ends up having his or her own children and spends lots of time with the mother again which is the rise in the music that brings the love between the mother and her child back into the relationship. It ends with the music swelling up and the circle of life continuing.
