Favourite Movie Friday with Erykah Badu

Wow, yes, I’m completely and utterly honoured to add the QUEEN of neo-soul to my list of favourite movie contributors. I interviewed the very mellow and fascinating Badu a few weeks ago ahead of her first Australian visit and here’s what she had to say RE: favourite movies:

“French film Amelie, The Holy Mountain . . .I have a new favourite film, Enter The Void. Oh my, I didn’t know what to think or feel. It was a lot. I was impressed by that film not only because of the cinematography but the risks the director took and his ability to take the audience in and out of those emotions at will. That’s what art is about and that’s why those are just three of my favourite films that I appreciate.”
