MMVA 2011 -- everything27 Fashion Loves

Monday, June 20, 2011

Last night was another star-studded MuchMusic Video Awards, right at the iconic 299 Queen Street West building. Of course it was filled with killer performances and even better fashion. I must say my fave performance of the night was by Bruno Mars. I love his voice and he is 0o0o0 so0o0o0o cute. But enough of that, let's get to all of the juicy news of the night; the fashion!

The MMVA red carpet was filled with some of the biggest celebs on the small and big screen and of course music royalty. Today we will be saluting our fave celebs on the carpet, who stayed true to their signature sense of style!

A Teenage Dream -- Selena Gomez and her boo, Justin Bieber

This teenage couple looked super cute last night. They totally dressed the party of an 18-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy! Check out their looks below.

Selna Gomez, co-host of the 2011 MMVAs, on the red carpet sported a Burberry Porsom beige dress paired with purple pumps and topped off with tight curls! She looks like a cute little prom queen, especially with those curls!

Justin sported a white blazer, Kelly Kapowski t-shirt and denim. He's totally girl crazy, just like any other teenage boy. But really Justin, were u even old enough to remember "Saved By The Bell"? Either way it's SUPER CUTE AND FUN!

Snoop Dogg -- The True Fashion OG

Bling, stunna shades and braids!!!!!!!!!!

Lady Gaga -- Fashions Wild Child

Leather. Studs. Turquoise hair!

Fefe Dobson in Heather Lawton -- fashionable rebel

She's just cute!

Kids With A Cause

Want another great reason to love H&M? Besides having top notch fashions at reasonable prices, the Swedish-label is always finding ways to give back and help those in need.

Well known for their Fashion Against AIDS collection and ads, H&M has teamed up with UNICEF and is now getting ready to help out the kids around the world. Earlier this week H&M announced they will be releasing a special clothing collection, for all the fashionable kids in your life, to support their UNICEF. The project is called All for Children. The super cool thing about the line is 25% of the sales from All for Children will go to UNICEF efforts to promote access to quality education and health care, children's rights to education, create opportunities for families to secure incomes and many more.

All for Children is in its fifth year and since its beginnings in 2006, H&M has made $4.5-million in contributions. I am 100% positive with the sales of thw new children's collection donations will only skyrocket.

The collection has some super cute outfits for kids. For the little ladies in your life I am loving the autumn floral prints as well as the adorable fall jackets. O00o0 to be a kid again. I swear we didn't have anything this fashionable when I was growing up.

=(

To find out more about the collection and All for Children visit http://www.hm.com/allforchildren. But until then check out some of the clothes that will be for sale soon online and in 160 stores worldwide.

Jimmy Choo "Icons"

Wednesday, June 15, 2011

This year a very special shoe design company is celebrating it's QuinceaƱera. For those who are not down with the Spanish, that mean 15th birthday! Happy 15th birthday to Jimmy Choo!

The famously fabulous shoe label will be celebrating the milestone by releasing a special "Icon" collection, where 15 of the brands most memorable and legendary shoes will hit stores once again.

The shoes that will be released are a secret, but we know about two special designs that will be coming to a store near you. One is called "The Macy," a black sandal, and the other is called "The Feather." All you "Sex and the City" fans may remember "The Feather" it was featured in an episode of the HBO series. Miss Carrie Bradshaw looses the fabulous shoe during a night on the town.

Some of the shoes will be revamped upon their release, while others will remain in their original form. The shoes range between $850 and $3,785 and will only be sold at Jimmy Choo stores.

Tamara Mellon, designer for Jimmy Choo, said the collection was motivated by stories. These are shoes that have a personal story for me or resonate with the customer,” says Mellon.

In addition to the "iconic" collection, 10% of the collections sales will be donated to the Jimmy Choo foundation that helps other women's charities. I really think it's an honorable thing when large companies donate money to help out others. It's is just very charitable and admirable and shows that they still have a heart. About the charitable donation, Mellon said "I want to tackle tough issues such as sexism, unequal pay, domestic violence and the sex slave trade.”

<3 it. Can't wait to see the rest!! I won't be buying any pairs, since they are a bit to pricey for my pocket, but I will dream!!

The New Gucci Girl!

Wednesday, June 8, 2011

For the Fall 2011 ad campaign season, Gucci has enlisted, Florence + the Machine frontwoman, Florence Welch as it's new face. From all the Fall/Winter 2011 designer collections that hit the runways around the world, Gucci's stole my heart. It embodied all things girls love, colours, furs, sheer and florals! I know it just sounds like a mash up of different fabrics and textures, but it all works out beautifully.

The British singer is always a major hit on red carpets with her unique sense of style and her fire engine red hair, so this collaboration between this showstopping fall collection and Florence will turn some heads! Gucci creative director, Frida Giannini, said the “Dog Days Are Over” singer inspired the fall 2011 clothing line. Giannini continues saying, “As I was imagining this collection I was thinking of a strong and somewhat mysterious muse. Florence is that kind of woman. She has a powerful personality and an entrancing quality to her performances. She also has that confident and self assured look that goes hand in hand with the Gucci woman.”

I can't wait to see these ads, of course with it being Gucci it will be super sexy, but now with Florence as the new face it will add a totally new feel to the brand. Congrats!!!!

Here are some of my FAVES from the Fall 2011 collection. It was hard to decide because I literally could close my eyes and pick out something and fall in love!
