Cinebuzz Club 50 famous movie titles solved!

Thursday, August 13, 2009

My-bad readers!
I completely forgot about my mission started late last year to name all the 50 famous movie titles in the CineBuzz Club ad. I managed to solve it in February and wrote the list down on a piece of paper. Well, said list got lost in the labyrinth that is my room and I just rediscovered it today whilst doing a clean-up. It’s now August so this is waaaaaay old but I figure you may as well see the answers I’ve come up with anyway.
They are:

Catch 22
Spiderman
Kiss From The Spiderwoman
Along Came A Spider
One Flew Overt The Cuckoos Nest
Napoleon Dynamite
Saw 3
Cinderella Man
Cinderfella
Anchorman
Ice Age
The Devil Wears Prada
American Graffiti
Swordfish
The Queen
Hot Fuzz
Priscilla Queen of the Desert
A Clockwork Orange
The Last Samurai
March of the Penguins
Titanic
Fast and Furious
To Kill A Mocking Bird
12 Angry Men
Kill Bill
Matchstick Men
Walk the Line
Thin Red Line
Ironman
Stickmen
Along Came A Spider
Raging Bull
Hellboy
Million Dollar Baby
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
Signs
The Hills Have Eyes
Cool Runnings
Running Man
The Birds
Kangaroo Jack
Top Gun
The Strongest Man in the World
Sex and the City
Happy Feet
The Man From Snowy River
Storm
The Castle
The Love Factory
Juice
The Big Freeze

Hold up!
I know what you’re thinking - there are more than 50 famous movie titles listed here. Bingo, and I’m sure other people out there could add some more titles to this list because essentially the answer depends on what YOU see. For example, a friend said Pirates of the Caribbean was in there but I couldn’t see it so didn’t add it. Another example is the cartoon of a man wearing a ball gown. Technically this could be the movie title Cinderella Man, the boxing movie with Russel Crowe, or the Jerry Lewis classic Cinderfella – it just depends on what you see. Also, the shaking building with love hearts could be Sex and the City or the Tilda Swinton drama Love Factory.
So have some fun with this. If you think you’ve seen something I haven’t then please add a comment. Since I forgot about this mission for half a year I will make it up to you by starting a new mission; next time I go to the movies I intend to yell out every title when this ad comes on. I wonder how long until I’m escorted out?

Sincerely,

Movie Mazzupial

Happy Birthday to me!

Sunday, January 11, 2009

Technically it’s not my birthday but I had to write something to mark my 101st post since creating the Movie Mazzupial blog. A lot has changed since I first created this site in June, 2008 and below is a short list of the most significant changes:

-My readership has doubled 100% with two people now reading Movie Mazzupial as opposed to just Rick.
-Have stooped to the point of writing a celebratory post on the number of articles written in a bid to create some notion of self worth.
-The appeal of Movie Mazzupial has spread to fundamentalist Christian groups who regularly leave `insightful’ comments on this site.
-Have still not cracked the 50 films hidden within the notorious CineBuzz Club ad. 29 is close though, right? Right?

I hope you all (yes, both of you) will hang around for more fun times in the future. Play your cards right, and I may just write another exciting birthday post at 201 articles! Here’s hoping.

Funner than playing Hungry, Hungry Hippos!

Thursday, December 11, 2008

Since your reading this blog I’m guessing you go to the movies relatively often. Unless you’re so avante-garde it hurts then I'm also guessing you’ve probably been to a Birch Carroll and Coyle cinema. Have you seen the new CineBuzz Club ad screening before the start of each movie? How good is it! I freakin love it. I’m talking about the ad where they cram 50 movie titles in to the 1 minute ad and you have to try and pick them. Naturally you’re not supposed to guess them all therefore encouraging you to come back to the movies more often and guess again. Naturally I go to the movies a few times a week and I seriously have so much fun trying to pick them all. There are so many but here are the ones I’ve got so far:
-One flew over the cuckoo's nest
-Saw
-Kiss the girls
-Cinderella man
-The devil wears Prada
-Swordfish
-Titanic
-March of the penguins
-Fast and the furious
-Matchstick men
-Walk the line
-Ironman
-Raging bull
-Million dollar baby
-Thin red line
-Cat on a hot tine roof
-Lock, stock and two smoking barrels
-Signs
-The hills have eyes
-Spiderman
-Cool runnings
-The birds

For those of you playing at home that’s 22 movie titles I’ve been able to name but where oh where are the other 29? Do you know some I’ve missed out? Please help, I want to nail that 50 damn it.
