Spring Time Loving from OPI

One of my fave things about spring and summer, besides the weather and all the cute outfits is all the fun, bright and colourful nail polishes I get to play with all season long. In April OPI will release one of their new collections for Spring 2011, Femme de Cirque SoftShades collection.

The collection has very subtle shades, but they are still very strong and bold polish colours. It's the perfect transition shades for polishes in the summer. And in true OPI fashion, the beautiful polish shades come with cute and corky names like; In The Spot-light Pink, I Juggle...Men, So Many Clowns....So Little Time and Step Right Up.

I swear, I just buy the polish sometimes for the names.

Get Glee For Your Nails

First was it was Katy Perry and then it was Justin Bieber teaming up with nail polish brand OPI for their own exclusive collections. Now the superstar cast of Glee is joining the celebrity list of nail polish colour lines.

Sephora by OPI is preparing to release a limited edition line of polishes inspired by Fox's hit Glee. The line has seven funky colours with fun cooky names to match: "Hell to the No," a bold purple; "Mash-Up," a pearlescent green gray, "Gleek Out," a lime, glittery green; "Miss Bossy Pants," a raspberry; "Diva-in-Training," a bright pink; "Who Let the Dorks Out," a peacock green; and “Slushied," a nice blue. Also three other colours will be available in a mini set; "Sue Vs Shue," a navy blue; “Celibacy Club," a glimmering, diamond top coat and "Express Yourself to Yourself," a coral shimmer shade.

The line is set to release next month is selling for $9.50 each or you can buy the mini set of six for $22. So all Gleeks get prepared.

Since the show is such a hit, I'm pretty sure the nail polish collection will be a major success. It's estimated the line will make $1.5 million in projected sales. It looks like the Glee collection will be the most successful celebrity nail polish collection.

I am a huge fan of fun, bright colours for my nails all year around and by the sounds of it, this collection has a lot of shades I will want to dabble in. EXCITED.

This look screams understated sexy which is perfect for the office because its a modern take on boring work-wear. Menswear inspired looks this season are tres popular, the slacks are smart and look good with a cute pair of baroque's. The Antonio Berardi sheer blouse is a personal fave although extremely expensive. Have no fear ladies, there are many variations of this blouse at lower price points so you can still get this look.

To turn the heat up a notch I felt adding the black leather bralet underneath the sheer blouse would spice the look up, bringing out your inner "lunch-time dominatrix", which will increase your sex appeal and boost your confidence! Everyone knows I love accessories that make a statement, especially anything animal print! The leopard tote makes life that much more exciting so you can take this look from the a.m to the p.m!

So I would classify this fit as a transitional look from summer into fall. I wanted to create a look that was fun and casual but at the same time didn't scream summer. Its time to start picking up basic fall must haves while stores are introducing their fall collections. I chose one of the Brian Lichtenberg tanks we featured earlier in the week as one of the pieces because its cute fun and is still something you can wear in warmer weather. The Jeffrey Campbell wedges are BANANAS and they are perfect with this casual look just roll your jeans to get that disheveled look and your good to go. You don't want to leave your jeans unrolled because it will hide the detailing. The exception to that is if you're wearing a tapered pair because then you can just leave the jeans as is.

I always say splurge on timeless accessories and this Hermes cuff is no exception, its edgy and it adds a little bit of bling to the look. I chose a pretty greyish purple polish because those pastels and bright colours will soon be to summery to wear during the coming months. Hopefully this casual look, which is ideal for kickin' it with the girls on the weekend or just chilling out with your boo for a matinee during the week will help with make that summer to fall transition that much easier!
