My Black is Beautiful

Vogue Brazil's "Black is Beautiful" January 2011 issue has probably hit stands in Brazil and will showcase the top black models in the industry. It was about time that Brazil decided to do their version of the all black Vogue issue after Italian Vogue set the news stands and the internet into a frenzy after they released their version. Brazil has the largest population of black people after Africa therefore its only right to showcase that beauty.

Brazillian models are my all time favourites there is something about them that is completely stunning ie. everything27 fave Arlenis Sosa! Natural beauty Emanuele De Paula is looking gorgeous on the cover as well. Can't wait to see if I can get my paws on this magazine since it should be out in Canada in a week or so! Worldwide fashion publication Vogue must really love supermodel Natasha Poly because she was the only model in the world most frequently used in the magazine for 2010. Poly graced the cover of the December issue of French Vogue, the October issue of Russian Vogue and the September issue of Japanese Vogue. Not to mention she has had several spreads inside the publication.

Other fashion elite getting international love from Vogue was design team Dolce & Gabbana who were the most used designer and the most used photographers were Inez and Vinoodh.

I'm really not surprised Poly was the most used model, she has a very versatile look and can transform from commercial girl next door to high fashion edgy bombshell without a problem. Congrats!

Tom Ford's Spring 2011 Collection revealed!!

Lookie what we've found! Seems like Tom Fords collection is not so "hush hush" after these images have surfaced from Vogues December issue featuring pieces from his "top secret" spring 2011. In Sept when Ford launched his collection he went to great lengths to make sure the collection stayed hidden until it was available for purchase in Jan 2011. Photography was prohibited with the exception of Terry Richardson and only 100 fashion vip's were invited to the show. When things are kept this secret curiosity builds and expectations are created. In my opinion I love the collect fave piece is definately that crystal rock necklace in the second image, absolutely stunning!! What do you guys think, was the collection worth the wait?

Which dress is taking the magazine world by storm and stirring up a little contoversy as well? Its none other than the sparkly gold Balmain number that was featured in the F/W 2010 collection. Seems like Anja Rubik must have really worked that dress on the runway because editors from 7 Magazines pegged the dress to be on their cover. The dress costs $31,000 for the shorter version and $34,000 for the longer version according to the Daily Mail. I guess the good thing about the dress is thaqt it doesn't look the same in every picture, you have to kind of examine it to realize that the dresses are the same. Below are the covers and also the runway look so in your opinion who rocked it best?

By the way can we talk about Ms. Gisele, she annihilated that runway, Naomi we see you, WORK! Her walk is too amazing for words, get it girl!!!
