The name is Stripes, White Stripes

Kudos to the musical director behind the next James Bond flick Quantum of Solace because they’ve enlisted the talents of The White Stripes to make the theme song. A spokesperson for the film confirmed the Michigan rock band is currently in the studio trying to record a theme for 007. Should be interesting to see what Jack and Meg come up with. Other candidates to do the theme song included Amy Winehouse and Leona Lewis. It’s a shame Wino couldn’t do it because she’s off snorting icing sugar or whatever but the person who suggested Leona Lewis deserves a punch in the kidneys. The White Stripes will give the sometimes soppy Bond themes a powerful, rocky edge which should be well suited to the new direction the 007 films have headed since Daniel Craig took the reins.
Quantum of Solace is out November 27.
