A smiling Vanessa Perroncel was seen arriving at the family division of the high court in London today

Vanessa Perroncel was first to arrive at the high court to face ex-partner Wayne Bridge in a showdown over maintenance payments for their young son.

A smiling Vanessa looked stylish in a black blazer and freshly groomed locks, as she arrived with her legal representatives.

Perroncel and Bridge will meet privately in the Family Division of the Royal Courts Of Justice in London after they failed to agree on maintenance payments.

Underwear model Vanessa, 33, claims the £88,000-a-week Manchester City defender has offered her just £3,000 a month to bring up three-year-old Jaydon.

But sources close to Bridge counter that he has offered her £10,000-a-month and a luxury home, but that she is demanding double that and an exclusive London property

Bridge is also said to be convinced by rumours that his England teammate John Terry paid Vanessa up to £800,000 to keep quiet after their affair became public.

He wants any payment taken into account when deciding maintenance.

But Vanessa's spokesman Max Clifford claimed the rumours of the payout were '100 per cent false'.

Bridge, 29, was devastated when he found out his ex-girlfriend had an affair with former Chelsea team-mate Terry.

Although Bridge split from Perroncel in July, he felt betrayed when his close friend Terry - who is married to childhood sweetheart Toni Poole - had an affair with the French model.

He withdrew his name from selection for the England team ahead of the World Cup, claiming his position had become 'untenable and potentially divisive'.

Then when the two men met at the Man City-Chelsea game, Bridge refused to shake Terry's hand.

He is also said to be furious with Vanessa, who has claimed he is neglecting his only child.

A source told the Sun: 'He loves his son and wants to be part of his life. But he wants nothing to do with her - she's a parasite.'
