Kill me
Monday, April 19, 2010
You know, sometimes Hollywood still surprises me by reaching an all new level of awfulness. This week it comes in the form of the poster for Killers, starring Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher.
Monkey 1: Okay, so we have the two leads standing next to each other like your traditional rom-com poster but...
Monkey 2: But?
Monkey 1: We're just missing something to make it a tad more badass.
Monkey 2: Not too badass though.
Monkey 1: Sure, how about instead of a dot over the `i' in Killers, we get make it a fleuro spoof stain?
Monkey 2: I like it *flings poo*.
And in case you couldn't handle just one imagine, here's the accompanying posters aka eye vomit.
Dear Ashton, Zac Efron's image off the 17 Again poster called and he wants his look back.
Considering this movie has already been made three times in the past few years with Mr & Mrs Smith, Duplicity and The Bounty Hunter, the very least they could have done was produce an interesting image. Heigl's head in a box, Se7en style, would suffice. At least Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz film Knight and Day, which has an identical premise, came up with an eye-catching and somewhat artistic poster.
Both films are being released in June. In time travel news, I suggest you check out my posts on my favourite movie posters and the 10 worst movie posters of all time.
