Fashion icon: Georgia Jagger is the latest model to front a Versace ad campaign

She has claimed that modelling is not her desired career path. But Georgia May Jagger seems to be doing remarkably well for someone who’s not that interested.

The daughter of Sir Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall has followed in her mother’s footsteps by fronting a Versace advertising campaign.

Georgia, 18, replaces Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen as the face of the fashion label.

Sultry: She poses in a number of outfits, including a pink mini-dress and a diaphanous Grecian gown

Miss Hall, 53, starred in a high-profile campaign for Versace in 1980. The then 24-year-old smouldered at the camera in a series of moody black and white shots. And her daughter cuts an even more sultry figure in her campaign, draped over a fur rug in a pink patterned mini-dress.

Donatella Versace said of the teenager: ‘She’s smart, a strong personality, beautiful, full of energy. With that natural high star quality, I adore her. She’s perfect for this collection – a real Versace girl.’

Georgia, whose older sister Lizzie is also a model, signed up to leading London agency Independent in January 2008, just two weeks after her 16th birthday.

She landed lucrative jobs with Rimmel and Hudson Jeans and just weeks ago was named Model of the Year by the British Fashion Council.

However, she has already revealed that her dreams for the future lie elsewhere. When asked by Rolling Stone what her father thinks of her career so far, she said: ‘I don’t think he really feels that much about it, because he knows that it’s not my main goal in life.
