Cheryl Cole to release 'first official book' chronicling her rise to the top

Cheryl Cole, seen here in Paris last week, is set to release a book

She was already the most talked about woman in showbusiness thanks to her pop and television careers and, most recently, her tangled love life.

Now it has emerged that Cheryl Cole is to publish her first tome.

The book - called Cheryl Cole: My World - will reveal ‘intimate’ photographs of her life.

Publishers are declining to label it an autobiography but the Daily Mail has learnt Mrs Cole will be writing ‘substantial' amounts of text to accompany the photographs.

Today, the exact details of her words had still not been decided - but she was said to be still considering how much to feature her estranged husband, footballer Ashley Cole.

The book - labelled the ‘first official Cheryl Cole book' - will come out on September 30 and promises to be a ‘lavishly illustrated’ hardback, according to publishers.

The announcement of the deal comes just weeks after the Daily Mail told how book publishers were offering up to £5million for Mrs Cole's autobiography after a bidding war broke out.

However, last night publishers Transworld refused to say how much they had paid for the rights to My World.

The book will chronicle the 26-year-old singer's rise from a wannabe appearing on ITV talent show Popstars: The Rivals to her role as a judge on the X Factor and her chart-topping solo pop career.

According to the publishers, it will be ‘packed full of previously unseen photographs from Cheryl's own personal collection of favourites, together with dozens of stunning and exclusive new images.’

The Daily Mail has also learnt that Mrs Cole will write a ‘substantial’ amount for the book, with words to support the pictures.

Asked whether pictures of Cole's husband will be among them, a Transworld spokesman simply said My World will feature ‘all aspects’ of her life, before adding that Cole is currently making her photograph selection.

The book will include pictures of Cheryl's early days in Girls Aloud

‘I can look at photos and straight away they'll bring back loads of memories.

‘That's really why I wanted to do this book, so I could choose pictures that mean something to me and tell the stories that go with them.’

Transworld editorial director Sarah Emsley, said: ‘Last year Cheryl Cole had a number one single, a number one album and was a judge on the UK's most successful television programme.

It is unclear whether Cheryl Cole: My World will feature pictures with her estranged husband Ashley

She continues to be an integral member of the most successful girl band the UK has ever seen.

‘Warm, talented, incredibly beautiful, greatly loved by the British public and an absolute joy to work with, she is the most talked about celebrity in the UK today.

‘We could not be more thrilled to be publishing the first official Cheryl Cole book.'
The singer separated from Chelsea and England footballer Cole, 29, last month after he was revealed to have cheated on her on a number of occasions.

But, so far, she has – pointedly - declined to begin divorce proceedings against the defender.

Instead, Cole has launched a bid to win her back.

He has even prepared a ‘memory book,’ with pictures and mementos from their three-and-a-half year marriage.

The footballer – who earns £82,000 a week – will show her the book at scheduled reunion this coming weekend when he hopes to ‘woo’ his estranged wife back

Cole published his own autobiography - My Defence - in July 2006.

In it, he recalled that, while driving one day, he received a phone call from his agent – who told him that Cole’s then-employers Arsenal were offering him a new contract worth £55,000 a week.

'I was so incensed I nearly swerved off the road' he infamously wrote, earning him the nickname 'Cashley' from rival football fans.
