Stunning: Cheryl Cole took to the stage on Friday night to perform a ballroom dance routine to her latest single Parachute in aid of BBC1's Sport Relief
She bravely hid her private anguish to do her bit for charity when she took to the stage for Sport Relief on Friday night.
But Cheryl Cole is this weekend once again focusing on the one question that has left the whole country guessing: when - and if - she will divorce her cheating husband Ashley.
But judging by a number of conflicting accounts in today's Sunday newspapers, a final resolution appears to be some way off.
Today's News of the World claims the Girls Aloud star is preparing to put her divorce on hold for six months, while the Sunday Mirror claims she is set to file for divorce as soon as this week.
Meanwhile, the People believes devastated Ashley is convinced he can still win back his wife.
A close friend of Cheryl's told the News of World: 'Cheryl has decided to take a deep breath and wait before she makes a final decision.
'Deep down, she knows the marriage is over. But her love for Ashley hasn't gone.'
But another source tells the Sunday Mirror that Cheryl's mind has been made up.
'Cheryl has turned a corner and is now ready to move on.
'But she doesn't want a messy divorce - it must be as quick and as amicable as possible.'
The paper also claims that three weeks ago Cheryl made a last-minute change to the statement she issued after her split from Ashley.
In the final version, she cut out the crucial line: 'Great efforts have been made to make the marriage work but they have failed.'
Defiant: Cheryl put her marriage woes behind her as she strutted around on stage during Friday's Sport Relief

But on Friday, Cheryl was able to temporarily put her troubles to one side as she made her first British TV appearance since her separation from Ashley.
The 26-year-old star was brought on stage laughing and clapping following comic Rufus Hound's hilarious performance of her hit Fight For This Love.
There were no signs of the inner trauma she will have been experiencing as a result of the collapse of her marriage and she looked great as she performed her latest single.
Cole told bearded funnyman Rufus 'it's like looking in a mirror' after he performed the routine on the BBC1 Sport Relief show.
Minutes later, the Girls Aloud star took to the stage again to perform a ballroom dancing routine to her new song Parachute.
The star was given a huge cheer from the studio audience following her efforts.
Hound, who won this year's Let's Dance for Sport Relief with his impersonation of Cole, copied her military-themed outfit complete with trousers split at the side which showed off his legs.
Cheryl joked: 'You have put so much work into it you have even split your trousers.'
