Strictly professional: Claire Powell successfully sued Katie Price over false allegations she had an affair with client Peter Andre
Katie Price has been ordered to pay 'substantial' undisclosed damages to her former manager Claire Powell after accusing her of having an affair with Peter Andre.
The glamour model had made the accusation during an appearance of The Graham Norton Show last October, although the comment was edited out for the broadcast.
Powell, whose company Can Associates Limited still represents Andre, is in a long-term relationship with fiance and business partner Neville Hendricks.
Powell's solicitor Mike Brookes told the High Court that Price had made the allegation to host Graham Norton, fellow guests Jackie Collins and Jo Brand and a studio audience of 600.
Brookes said the BBC had 'quite sensibly' edited the slanderous claim from the show, but the story still ran in several newspapers.
Brookes told Mr Justice Eady: 'To be accused of infidelity, with one of her long-standing and high-profile clients, was obviously very damaging and distressing for Ms Powell - the most obvious reason being that the allegation was completely untrue.'
Price, 31, did not attend court today, but had accepted the allegation was completely untrue, apologised unreservedly and had agreed to pay substantial compensation and Powell's legal fees.
Oops: Katie Price backtracks when she realises she said Andre's name instead of current husband Alex Reid on This Morning yesterday
The mother-of-three was dropped from Powell's management company Can Associates last May after she and Andre announced their plans to split after three years of marriage.
Price made no secret of her disdain for Powell and Andre and regularly criticised them in the press last year.
Price's costly mistake came as Andre had started having laser sessions to remove the model's name from his wedding ring finger.
The Australian singer was seen this week with a plaster over her wedding finger after undergoing the first of three laser sessions to have 'Katie' erased.
Last year, he vowed to keep the tattoo so as to not to upset the couple's two children Princess and Junior.
Erasing Katie: Andre was spotted wearing a plaster over his 'Katie' tattoo in Manchester earlier this week
Going, going...: Andre is erasing the Katie tattoo he had done three year ago
He said: 'Getting rid of my tattoo is nowhere near a priority and I don't think I will. I don't want the kids to pick up on any hostilities between us so I need to put them first.'
But it appears he has now changed his mind following Price's wedding to Alex Reid last month.
Meanwhile, Price made a faux pas on live television yesterday when she confused new husband Alex Reid for Andre.
The glamour model, 31, was discussing her husband on This Morning, when she referred to the couple as 'mine and Pete'.
The mother-of-three quickly realised her mistake and tutted at herself, before going on to say 'I mean, mine and Alex...'
But having gone from being Andre's wife to a second marriage with cagefighter Reid in just nine months, perhaps she can be forgiven for the slip-up.
After a small, private ceremony in the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas on February 2, Price and Reid are planning to repeat their vows in a blessing in England this summer.
She told This Morning hosts Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby: 'Well because our family couldn’t be there, and the reason we got married in Vegas was because Alex proposed to me after his first fight - my first fight of seeing him - in September and we tried to get married at Christmas
