The footballer was living it up on the second day of his holiday in Miami, surrounded by a clutch of beautiful women.

Smoking may not be a recommended pastime for a professional sportsman, but Bridge could hardly be blamed for giving into his habit.

After a difficult five weeks, he is putting his troubles behind him with a lads' holiday.

The Manchester City left back and team-mates Micah Richards and Shaun Wright-Phillips have been enjoying the Florida sunshine with the help of a series of scantily clad women.

Bridge's much-needed holiday comes after a difficult time, so perhaps he could be forgiven if he looked to be trying just a little too hard to be seen having a good time.

The 29-year-old was devastated when he found out his ex-girlfriend Vanessa Perroncel had an affair with former Chelsea and England team-mate John Terry.

When the two men met at the Man City-Chelsea game a week ago, Bridge refused to shake Terry's hand.

Although Bridge split from Perroncel in July, he understandably felt betrayed when his close friend Terry - who is married to childhood sweetheart Toni Poole - had an affair with the French model.

He made the difficult decision to withdraw his name from selection for the England team ahead of the World Cup, claiming his position had become 'untenable and potentially divisive'.

So after making the difficult decision and coming face-to-face with his former friend for the first time since the betrayal, Bridge was no doubt looking forward to getting away from it all.

The footballer arrived in Miami on Friday and checked into a £10,000-a-night suite at the five star Setai Hotel.

Richards must have stayed back at the hotel yesterday as Bridge and Wright-Phillips started the day's revelry at the Nikki Beach Club, where they rented a private cabana.

After drinking a few bottles of champagne and pitchers of cocktails in the sunshine, the men ended up spending the rest of the evening at the club.

The group started off as five men, but they soon swelled to 15 as they were joined by a mixed group of men and women.

Revelling in his single status, Bridge was attracting plenty of female admirers.
Towards the end of the night, he was spotted putting his arm round a woman in an animal-print mini dress and brown boots.

Bridge is expected to return to England this week to prepare for the next Manchester City game on Sunday.
