Keep your eyes on the road: A glamorous Victoria Beckham has a rare moment behind the wheel in a striking photoshoot for German Vogue magazine
Victoria Beckham shows a strikingly different side to her as she poses for a gritty, but glamorous magazine photoshoot.
Starring in a fashion pictorial for German Vogue, the 36-year-old ditches her usual chauffeur as she hits the road in classic car.
Dripping in designer clothes and wearing dramatic make-up, Beckham looks out of place as she poses in filthy and derelict diners and buildings in America's ghost towns.
In one image, it appears Posh is dressed for a wedding as she sits at the wheel of her car, fully made-up in a white dress and wearing a fascinator on her head.
Beckham was chosen as the cover girl for Vogue's special denim-themed May issue because of her denim range DVB.
Describing the perfect pair of jeans in the magazine, she said: 'The legs should be cut super long, with narrow knee. There is nothing more unattractive than to feel bruised on the waist.
'I make no compromises. I use only the best materials and fiddle eternally with the cut. My true passion belongs the fashion.
'On the stage, I was able to hide myself behind my four colleagues; for my designs, I am very alone responsible.'

Beckham's shoot for Vogue comes after her latest advertising campaign was unveiled.
The former Spice Girl and her actress friend Eva Longoria co-stars in a short ad for LG Fashion Touch mobile phones.
The 15-second advert features Beckham in a fashion design studio and sharing a few laughs with Longoria on a bed.

The video plays up to Beckham's new career as a fashion designer, which was won over critics and celebrity fans.
The ex-pop star said: 'I have had to prove myself. But that's a good thing - everybody has to prove themselves, not just me
'I want to grow as a designer, I want to learn the techniques and do more and more."I feel more confident in myself because I feel fulfilled, creatively and professionally. I've still got a long way to go, but I feel very happy.
'I'm in a good place in my life. And I don't feel I have to prove myself as much as I used to have to.'
Beckham is currently going through a few changes to her business life as her PA was unable to get a visa extension to remain in the U.S.
Last week, it was revealed Simon Fuller had resigned as the manager of Brand Beckham after seven years of managing the couple and their many business ventures.
Meanwhile, her husband David Beckham is set to follow in her footsteps by appearing on U.S. talk show The View on Monday.
Victoria was a guest host on the panel programme - similar to Loose Women - in February.
