Any normal woman going through the heartache and scandal that has rocked Cheryl Cole's marriage to errant husband Ashley Cole would be forgiven for looking less than perfect and forgetting about such fripperies as fashion, hair and make-up.

But Cheryl's resilience has been reflected by a show-stopping wardrobe display.

Granted, not all of us have the X Factor judge's retail resources.

But even so, the singer appears to be battling heartbreak with a woman's most resilient weapons: hot clothes and make-up.
