Covering her mouth and avoiding looking at the cameras, it seems Cheryl Cole has two things she’s trying to hide.

As well as trying to conceal the cold sore on her top lip as she arrived back in Britain yesterday, the pop star is also said to be arranging secret talks with text-cheat husband Ashley.

Despite allegations that the England ace has had affairs with four other women, Cheryl, 26, has not ruled out a reconciliation.

The X Factor judge confirmed the collapse of their three-and-a-half-year marriage last week following reports which also claimed Ashley had sent sex texts to another woman.

Friends are said to be concerned for her happiness, claiming she is feeling increasingly lost without her husband.

‘It’s a case of the initial anger fading and the sadness and loneliness setting in,’ one told the News of the World.

‘She’s insistent this is only a trial separate and is carefully considering if there’s a way she can move the relationship forward.’

Cheryl, who is expected to reveal the full story of her split in an interview with Piers Morgan during a one-hour ITV1 special in May, performed Fight For This Love during her appearance in Copenhagen on Friday.

However, despite telling the X Factor audience that after the show, ‘If there’s a party, I’ll be there’, she headed straight back to her hotel room until the morning.

Meanwhile, Ashley’s mum has apparently been jetted out to France to see him in the clinic where he is receiving treatment on his ankle.

Sue Cole, 52, was said to have been concerned after seeing pictures of her son looking unkempt.

A source said: ‘Ashley was in a state.
‘His mum did what any parent would do and went to him. He now knows he’s not alone.’
Ashley, whose first alleged affair is said to have happened only hours after he and Cheryl made their relationship public in 2004, is expecting the couple to be reconciled before the World Cup in June.
