Braving the cold: Ricky Whittle arrived at his Hollyoaks leaving party at the Portico bar in Liverpool dressed as an Apache Indian
Ricky Whittle made sure he toasted his Hollyoaks exit with a bang by hosting a Western-themed leaving party last night.
The Strictly Come Dancing runner-up, 29, showed off his famously toned abs as he dressed as an Apache Indian, complete with long black wig.
Whittle was joined by a host of his Hollyoaks co-stars to celebrate his exit from the Channel 4 soap after four years of playing Calvin Valentine.
After spending most of the party dressed as an Indian, Whittle make an exit hidden in a horse costume along with his ex-girlfriend Carley Stenson.
Providing some sexy cowgirl glamour at the bash at the Portico Bar in Liverpool was on-screen wife Gemma Merna (Carmel) and on-screen lover Jennifer Metcalfe (Mercedes Fisher).
But their on-screen sister Claire Cooper (Jacqui McQueen) opted to stay in the Indians camp with Whittle as she dressed as an Indian princess.

Braving the cool night with his bare chest, Whittle briefly stepped outside the party to bring some tequila shots to share with the paparazzi.
Writing on his Twitter page, Whittle said: 'Dressed as an Apache Indian knocking back tequila slushes with some cowboys, see, why can't we all just be friends?'
Surely winning the prize for best costume was co-star Gerard McCarthy, who dressed as the Milky Bar Kid, complete with inflatable horse.

Clearly getting ready for summer already, many of the actresses opted for denim shorts rather than jeans as part of their cowgirl outfits.
Northern Irish actress Bronagh Waugh left little the imagination as she turned up in a very tight blouse with denim hotpants and a cowboy hat.
Returning for the party was ex co-star and current EastEnders actor Devon Anderson, who play Calvin's troubled younger brother Sonny, who left Hollyoaks in 2007.

As viewers will already know after seeing a special flash-forward episode several months ago, Calvin will be shot during his second wedding day to soulmate Carmel.
